3] Foaming Agent
Physically Expandable Microsphere
Unicell MS series is a thermal expandable microsphere. It is composed of polymeric shell and volatile core. The particle size ranges from 10 to 100 μm. When temperature reaches Ts, the shell starts to thin down and expands 40~50 times volumetrically. When temperature reaches over Tmax, the particle may shrink or collapse.

Non-Formamide & Low Ammonia Release-modified ADCA
DongJin offers a series of, state of the art, foaming agents that provide non-Formamide or Low Formamide/Ammonia Release and meet the latest requirements of Restricted Substance List (RSL).
DX-19MT is the newest AC-based low-ammonia forming agent in EVA masterbatch that lowers the measurable NH3 emission in finished products to be 1/10 of traditional AC foaming agent without sacrificing physical property and production efficiency.
DX-23FL & D600FL are new grades of Low Formamide/Ammonia Release AC foaming agent. They both have the effect on reducing formamide in EVA foam.
Each of these products have a formamide reduction rate of more than 80%.
EVA foam manufactured by these two products is detected around 150-250 ppm of retained formamide by GC-mass analyzer.
(Formamide is classified as environmentally hazardous substances.)
