Surface Treated Sulfur

Surface Treated Sulfur

Both #793 & #296 are polar-surface sulfurs, which are conditioned by Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3) on their particles.

Benefits:

  • Very compatible with polar elastomers such as NBR compound without sulfur re-agglomeration during shelf-storage.
  • #296 is further treated with anti-dusting agent to minimize dusting during roller mixing
Insoluble Sulfur

Insoluble Sulfur

Insoluble sulfur is polymeric sulfur made of long sulfur chain. The sulfur structure is in non-crystalline form. It is temperature sensitive; if the mixing temperature is higher than 100°C, it can revert to rhombic sulfur. At curing temperatures, insoluble sulfur will depolymerize to regular rhombic sulfur and cure rubber compounds. IS-7020 is ideal for tire manufacturing (belt skim, carcass, and bead) & other laminated rubber goods.

Benefits:

  •  Dispersible but insoluble in rubber compound.
  •  Non-blooming in rubber green stock under room temperature.
